Physician - General

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for an experienced General Surgery physician to join a multi-specialty surgery practice located in Fresno, California. Our practice is affiliated with Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) which has been voted Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Reports "Best Hospitals 2024-25" rankings. Located in Central California, we are known for our lower cost of living, proximity to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks, an easy drive to San Francisco, Los Angeles, or the Central Coast, easy air travel with direct flights to most major hubs, great schools, and a great sense of community.

The selected physician will join a surgery practice inclusive of General Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery and Bariatric surgery with opportunities including robotics, endoscopic, and laparoscopic procedures. The practice is a blend between elective and acute care surgery.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a traditional work week, Monday - Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours of patient contact time which includes acute care surgery procedures, IP consults, and post-op clinic time.  Rotational call requirement is seven days of call per month including at least one weekend.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA General Surgery residency program
• Board certification, or board eligible, through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS)
• A minimum of three (3) years of practice experience.
• California medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC)
• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Training and experience in minimally invasive or robotic surgery
• Candidate must have exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills to contribute toward building a cohesive and supportive culture in the operating room and the clinic practice
