Cleveland Clinics Neurological Institute announces a search for Enterprise Chair of Department of Neurology.
The Chair of the Department of Neurology will lead the clinical, education, and research activities across all Cleveland Clinic markets, including Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Abu Dhabi and London. Currently there are more than 200 neurologists across Cleveland Clinic, with 150 located in Ohio and 40 in Florida.
The faculty demonstrate expertise in clinical care, education, and externally funded research across all the subspecialties of neurology. The Department maintains nationally and internationally recognized programs in virtually all areas of neurology, including areas of international recognition in neuromuscular medicine, multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular medicine, epilepsy, neurodegeneration, sleep, and neuro oncology.
The Department is strongly engaged in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Currently the Department supports two adult neurology residency training programs with 60 residents, a child neurology residency program with 6 residents, and 18 neurology subspecialty fellowships with 65 trainees.
This position represents an outstanding leadership opportunity where the ideal candidate will be recognized nationally for his/her experience and accomplishments in research, clinical care, teaching, and administration. It will be paramount that the individual possesses the skills necessary to lead and grow a large and complex department with a multi-faceted mission and multiple stakeholders. The Chair will need to work closely and effectively in a matrix relationship with the directors of all disease-based centers in the Neurological Institute, including the Center for Brain Health, Center for Neurological Restoration, Cerebrovascular Center, Neuromuscular Center, Sleep Disorders Center, Mellen Center for Muscular Sclerosis, Brain Tumor and Neuro-oncology Center, Epilepsy Center, and Sections of General Neurology, Pediatric Neurology, and Neuropsychology.

The candidate must be board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent. A faculty appointment commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
The Department of Neurology is one of five departments within the Neurological Institute, including the Departments of Neurosurgery, Psychiatry and Psychology, Pain Management, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. These departments reflect the ongoing growth and advances in neuroscience within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
