The Division of Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an outstanding, mission-driven cardiologist to serve as Associate Chief for Ambulatory Cardiology, at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. This is a unique leadership opportunity to guide UCSF’s rapidly expanding ambulatory cardiology service line and help shape the future of outpatient cardiovascular care across multiple campuses in San Francisco.
In this key leadership role, you will collaborate closely with the Division Chief, Heart & Vascular Center leadership, and multidisciplinary clinical partners to advance clinic operations, improve patient access, strengthen care pathways, and support an integrated ambulatory strategy across UCSF Health.

What We’re Looking For
- Board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist with strong outpatient clinical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and interest in ambulatory operations, quality improvement, and program development.
- Experience (or clear potential) in overseeing multi-site clinics, interdisciplinary teams, or service-line initiatives.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and faculty engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work effectively across teams.
- Academic accomplishments aligned with UCSF’s research, education, or clinical mission.

Requirements
- California medical license or eligibility for full, unrestricted licensure by the time of hire
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
