The Division of Adult Cardiac Surgery and Lung Transplant within the Department of Surgery at UCSF offers a comprehensive, high-volume cardiovascular surgery program where innovation and clinical excellence are deeply integrated into patient care. UCSF is nationally recognized for outcomes in surgical coronary revascularization, multidisciplinary heart care, and complex cardiac procedures.

We are seeking a mission-driven adult cardiothoracic surgeon to serve as Surgical Director of Complex Coronary Revascularization. This is a unique leadership opportunity to collaborate with expert interventional cardiologists and multidisciplinary cardiac teams, expand a coronary surgery service line, and contribute to UCSF’s tradition of excellence in advanced heart care.

What We’re Looking For
  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Eligibility for California medical licensure by the time of hire.
  • Strong clinical skills and interest or experience in complex coronary revascularization.
  • Leadership qualities and commitment to multidisciplinary care.
  • Dedication to education, training, and high-quality, compassionate clinical care.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700 - $393,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan?, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Specific total compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and leadership responsibilities.
