VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Anesthesiology.

  • Description: Locums- Anesthesia JOB DETAILS: We are looking for 4-6 providers to fill this need. Prefer Providers with a Minimum of 5 shifts per month, weekend availability and availability in the last week of the month.*As stated below providers MUST be willing to work nights and weekends* Requirements for the bids in order to be accepted: Overtime hours must apply after 12 hrs. Guaranteed hours are 8. OT Policy: Overtime must be pre-approved by medical director by end of shift.The providers all work together and share the shifts but if they are not willing to do night/weekends that would make it very hard for our perms so please ensure providers are willing to do so. Providers will not be thrown onto night shifts until they have worked a few weeks on the day shift with other physicians. Please note: We need providers who are available for all shifts. Shift times are as follows:Weekday shifts start at 7a and vary in rotation from 8 to 12 hoursWeekday Eve shift: 3p-11pWeekday Night shift – 7p-7a – 2nd call from 7p-11p and 1st call after 11pmWeekend Day1 - 7a-7pWeekend Day 2 – 7a-7a – 24 hr Call- (2nd call)Weekend Night – 7a-7a – 24 hr call (3rd call from 7a-7p, 1st call 7p-7a)Call is beeper call and on weekends, remote.PRIVILEGING/REQUIREMENTS: oAll HBS specialties require 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in the specialty.oGaps greater than 3 months must be explained.oInclude current number of case logs upon presentation for surgical specialties. *PROVIDERS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE CA LICENSE TO BE PRESENTED. IF WE FIND THEY DO NOT, NAME CLEAR WILL BE REVOKED.*If provider has a permanent CA DEA that is preferred but not required. Please note the following travel deviations from our contract will apply to the assignment (or current confirmation agreement):•NOT reimbursed:oMileage from provider’s home to departing airport, as well as from airport to home upon return.oRide share (Lyft/Uber/etc.) and/or taxi from provider’s home to departing airport, as well as from airport to home upon return.•WILL be reimbursed:oAirport parking at provider’s departing airport if provider drives themselves to the airport.oInsurance policies for rental cars must be pre-approved, prior to booking, otherwise it will not be reimbursed.oRide share (Lyft/Uber/etc.) and/or taxi from destination airport to hotel/lodging for assignment, as well as from lodging to hospital/clinic, and return trips.
