Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Assistant (PA) – Oncology in Williston, ND

As a Locum Physician Assistant specializing in Oncology, you will play an essential role in delivering compassionate, top-quality care to cancer patients at the Leonard P. Nelson Cancer Center. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling and a supportive multidisciplinary team, making it ideal for experienced PAs seeking meaningful locum work.
Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in North Dakota
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in oncology or medical specialties
- Proficiency in completing staging workups, formulating chemotherapy/immunotherapy regimens
- Strong understanding of EMR systems, specifically Mosaiq and Meditech
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a patient caseload effectively, with attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience performing bone marrow biopsies
- Knowledge of regional and national cancer treatment protocols
- Prior experience working alongside Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and other specialists
- Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare billing and documentation standards
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient oncology experience
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting
Other Requirements:
- Must be credentialed with ND licensing, DEA registration, and facility credentialing process underway
- Willingness to cover at least three days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM
- Availability for orientation and training, with compensation provided
- Must adhere to hospital policies, including malpractice coverage and holiday coverage rates
- Ability to coordinate patient care across regional health systems, including Mayo Clinic and U of M
- Must provide own transportation for any required travel, with preferred lodging arrangements
