Physician - Oncology

Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Oncology in Greenville, SC

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncology Physician to provide vital locum coverage at a leading free-standing cancer center. This essential role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on adult and geriatric patients facing hematologic and oncologic conditions, while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Oncology.
• Valid medical license in South Carolina or ability to obtain.
• Proven expertise in adult and geriatric oncology and hematology.
• Proficiency in managing outpatient and inpatient oncology cases.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, tumor boards, and Bone Marrow Transplants.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior locum or temporary coverage experience.
• Participation in multidisciplinary teams and tumor boards.
• Knowledge of blood bank management.
• Experience in managing complex treatment protocols and clinical documentation.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical oncology practice.
• Prior experience in outpatient and inpatient oncology settings.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to provide coverage without call during the locum period; call required if placed permanently (1 week every 6-8 weeks).
• Participation in tumor boards and management of complex oncology cases.
• Willingness to travel and accommodate flexible scheduling.
• Credentialing estimated to take approximately 60 days.
• Reimbursements available for travel expenses, including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rates.
