Title: Staff Physician, Hematopathology

Duties: The Staff Physician, Hematopathology at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195) diagnoses and classifies leukemias, lymphomas, and other related malignant and benign processes involving lymph nodes, bone marrow, peripheral blood, body fluids, and other anatomic sites via microscopic review of morphology combined with interpretation and integration of multi-modal high complexity ancillary diagnostic tests. He or she is responsible for identifying the etiology, pathogenesis, morphological change, and clinical significance of hematological diseases; writing pathology reports summarizing analyses, results, and conclusions; and communicating pathologic findings to treating physicians. The scope of practice includes serving all of Cleveland Clinics patient population as well as a robust national and international second opinion consultation service. Responsibilities also include educating medical students, residents, and fellows and presenting and publishing novel findings and clinicologic research projects. Weekday and weekend phone call responsibilities and periodic weekend hours as needed.
Requirements: At a minimum, the position requires a MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology; Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Hematopathology; and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($340,000 - $505,500 per year)
