Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and Make a Difference in Patients’ Lives

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional care within a dynamic outpatient hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology consultations and treatments
  • Participate in patient rounds, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and manage infusion services
  • Support and collaborate with nurse navigators, palliative care teams, and ancillary staff
  • Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC Beacon EMR system
  • Support patient education, follow-up, and post-treatment planning
  • Manage 12-15 patient visits daily, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology, or pending certification
  • VA State Medical License
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology/oncology
  • BLS certification
  • DEA license
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working with infusion centers and radiation oncology
  • Proficiency with EPIC Beacon EMR
  • Prior experience managing outpatient infusion services
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Relevant fellowship or specialization in Hematology/Oncology
  • Proven track record working within hospital outpatient departments

Other Requirements:
  • Flu vaccination required
  • Ability to secure VA licensure and DEA registration
  • Willingness to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations
  • Credentialing timeline approximately 60-90 days; temporary privileges can be granted quickly

This position offers a highly competitive hourly rate of $507.00, with comprehensive benefits including weekly direct deposit pay, medical coverage, referral bonuses, licensure reimbursement, and more. Schedule involves working 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30, with additional clinics and call responsibilities as outlined.
