We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician to provide expert neuro surgical services at a prominent hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. This role offers the chance to work in a high-acuity environment, supporting urgent and emergent neuro cases, including trauma, brain bleeds, tumor removals, and spine procedures. What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in adult and geriatric neuro surgeries, including trauma repair, tumor removal, and shunt procedures
  • Proficiency with neuro interventional radiology procedures
  • Strong knowledge of trauma protocols and surgical procedures
  • Outstanding clinical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations
  • Valid medical license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain one
  • Certification in Neurosurgery (Board Certification preferred)

Nice to Have:
  • Prior experience working in Level 1 trauma centers
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
  • Additional certifications relevant to neuro or trauma surgery
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of residency and fellowship in Neurosurgery
  • At least 3 years of post-training clinical experience
  • Previous locum or emergency coverage in hospital settings

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to provide 24/7 on-call coverage for one week per month
  • Availability for shifts from March 3-10, with 8-12 hour shifts
  • Willingness to adhere to institutional protocols and documentation standards
  • Clean malpractice history and current medical licensure in Ohio
  • Travel and lodging arrangements as specified; travel reimbursements and accommodations provided
