Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist

Opportunity Information:

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire Hospitalists to join their established Hospitalist Program in Jackson, CA.

Flexible Schedule:

• 13 shifts per month
• 12-hour day shifts (avg workload of 11 - 14 patients)
• 12-hour night shifts (avg workload of 2-6 admits)
• Differentials for night shifts

Program Structure includes:

• ICU Coverage (6 bed)
• Vent Management

Scheduling:

• Schedules are made 3 months in advance
• Physicians can expect to work a mix of rounding and night admit shifts every month
• Physicians (in general) have 2 weekends off each month
• Rounding is scheduled in 5 7-day blocks; can be longer or shorter if preferred

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent medical degree) from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and board certification or board-eligibility in Internal Medicine (for many positions) at time of hire or Family Medicine with 2 years of direct experience.

• Valid medical licensure in the State of California (or eligibility to obtain it) prior to starting.

• Unrestricted DEA

Full-time annual compensation is $323,930, not including bonuses and differentials.
