Position: Pediatric Hospitalist (Permanent Full-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for physicians committed to providing exceptional inpatient pediatric care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric specialists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, emergency response, and consultative services as required.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standard of patient safety and care.
  • Document all clinical activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Valid medical license to practice in California.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
