The Cleveland Clinics Neurological Institute Department of Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking Neuropsychiatrists to work in the Cleveland, Ohio and Weston, Florida locations. The Department is undergoing a strategic expansion of Neuropsychiatric services in key areas of Epilepsy, Brain Health (Neurodegenerative Disorders), Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, and Movement Disorders.
In January 2027, the Neurological Institute will inaugurate a 1 million square feet, state-of-the-art Neurologic Institute building, in Cleveland, Ohio, which will afford a once-in-a-lifetime clinical, academic, and research environment for our Department and the Neuropsychiatry section. The access to cutting edge neuroimaging, network mapping, and electrophysiology expertise within the Neurological Institute, as well as the landmark Cleveland Clinic Brain Study, are all setting the foundation for innovative interdisciplinary clinical care and discovery.
With 4 current neuropsychiatrists in Cleveland, Ohio and 2 neuropsychiatrists at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, Nevada, this national expansion of neuropsychiatrists through various Cleveland Clinic locations is outlined below.
In Cleveland, Ohio, Neuropsychiatrists will interface with our Department of Psychiatry and Psychology and nationally renowned Neurological Centers, located at the Main Campus and the Regional Hospitals of Northeast Ohio. With 57 psychiatry and 26 psychology faculty as well as 52 Advanced Practice Providers and 22 social workers, the Department is one of the largest within the Neurological Institute. Servicing 200 inpatient psychiatric beds and robust outpatient psychiatric hubs, we have a growing Psychiatric Resistant Program in Northeast Ohio, offering ECT, TMS, DBS, ketamine, and participation in psychedelic trials.
In Weston, Florida, Neuropsychiatrists will collaborate with the growing epilepsy, neurodegenerative, stroke, and movement disorder service lines, offering telepsychiatry consultations to other Cleveland Clinic hospitals on the Treasure Coast. Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is a quaternary care center, with robust academic training programs, and serves the growing South Florida population.
Developing a robust neuropsychiatry track for all our trainees is also a priority. Capitalizing on the Adult Psychiatry training programs and the Consultation Liaison (CL) and Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic, we are well positioned to train the future generation of neuropsychiatrists. This position includes an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM).
Adult Psychiatrists with BNNP or CL fellowship training, as well as dual trained Psychiatry and Neurology clinicians, are highly desired candidates to apply for these exciting career opportunities.
