We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant specializing in General Surgery to provide expert surgical assistance, patient care, and support in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures within a clinical and hospital environment, including OR and inpatient care.

• Manage patient calls and provide follow-up care.

• Support a variety of cases, from minor add-ons to complex surgical oncology procedures.

• Work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring quality patient outcomes.

• Cover approximately 8-10 weeks of coverage, primarily Monday through Friday, with flexible shift times and no call requirements.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of OR and surgical assistance experience.

• Proficiency in managing outpatient and inpatient patient care.

• Strong knowledge of general surgery and surgical oncology procedures.

• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and patient management skills.

• Knowledge of robotics procedures (certification preferred).

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in robotic surgery.

• Experience managing complex surgical cases.

• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Valid active California Physician Assistant license.

• Current CA DEA registration.

• At least 25 general surgery cases documented.

• Minimum of 5 OR cases performed.

• Proven experience in surgical oncology setting.

Other Requirements:

• Must be a licensed Physician Assistant (NPs are not accepted).

• Certified in robotic surgery (please provide certification documentation).

• Ability to work full-time (guaranteed 40 hours per week), with overtime available after 40 hours.

• Availability for scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, with variable hours on some days.

• Willingness to travel reimbursement when applicable.
