Required Skills:

  • Board Certification in Neurosurgery
  • Active California Medical License and CA DEA registration
  • Fluoroscopy (FLURO) certification (including temporary certifications accepted)
  • Proven ability to handle complex spine cases
  • Demonstrated experience with surgical procedures within the past 24 months, including 100 relevant cases
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with hospital privileging processes
  • Familiarity with hospital documentation and case log maintenance
  • Previous locum tenens or temporary assignment experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board Certification in Neurosurgery
  • 2+ years of recent hospital-based clinical activity in neurosurgery
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and night calls
  • Knowledge of complex spine case management and patient care protocols

Other Requirements:
  • Valid CA medical license and DEA registration
  • Certification in fluoroscopy—a temporary fluoroscopy certification is acceptable
  • Willingness to cover designated dates with guaranteed minimum hours
  • Ability to submit comprehensive case logs and documentation during the privileging process
  • Willing to work in shifts including clinic hours, on-call, and night shifts
  • Availability for possible weekend 24-hour call coverage
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism and adherence to hospital policies
