In this role, you will manage a diverse patient panel, perform outpatient consultations, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive cancer care. The position includes day clinic hours, inpatient rounding support, and weekend call coverage, ensuring a balanced and fulfilling professional experience. Required Skills:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Active DEA license
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in rural healthcare settings
- Experience with BMT consults (though not required)
- Multilingual abilities
- Additional certifications in related oncology fields
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Prior outpatient and inpatient oncology/hematology experience
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to license or consider IMCL (International Medical Licensing Collection)
- Ability to commit to at least a 6-month ongoing assignment
- Flexibility for scheduled on-call duties, including weekend coverage
- Participation in tumor board meetings via WellSpan system
- Residency or fellowship training focusing on Hematology/Oncology
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $480.39, complemented by competitive benefits, including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, a robust referral bonus program, paid sick leave, licensure and certification reimbursements, and travel expenses where applicable.
