The Center for Brain Health at the Cleveland Clinic is recruiting for a Director of Clinical Research in Neurodegenerative Disease to join our multi-disciplinary group in Cleveland, Ohio. The Center for Brain Health is one of the largest cognitive disorders programs in the country with over 2,500 new patient visits and 8,000 follow up patient visits annually. Center also hosts the NIA supported Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (CADRC), Center of Excellence for Dementia with Lewy Bodies and has an annual research budget of over $6 Million funded by the NIH, DoD and Foundation research awards.
We are seeking Clinician Researchers with advanced training in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, track record of independently funded research and a passion for leading and growing the clinical translational research footprint of the Cleveland Clinic and the CADRC in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD),
The Director of Research will have the support of the Center’s research infrastructure (the largest within the Neurological Institute) and the CADRC comprised of: a dedicated research program manager, 5 research project managers (for foundation and federally-sponsored studies, clinical trials), 23 research coordinators (including a dedicated outreach/recruitment coordinator), 2 biostatisticians , translational scientists (with specific expertise in neuroimaging, multi-omics and animal models), a data manager, editorial assistance for all grant submissions, and the patient base from 4 board certified behavioral neurologists, 2 geriatric psychiatrists, 2 geriatricians, 3 neuropsychologists and 9 advanced practice providers.

In 2024, amongst the 18 clinical institutes within Cleveland Clinic, our Neurological Institute ranked #1 in Clinical Research Funding ($59M). The Center for Brain Health consistently ranks #1 for the last five years within the Neurological Institute in research funding.
Additional opportunities exist to collaborate with the faculty and medical students of Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (the “College Program”) and Case Western Reserve University (the “University Program”); the basic and translational scientists of the Lerner Research Institute; the 9 Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and several Family Health Centers in Northeast Ohio, as well as Cleveland Clinic Florida, Nevada, Toronto, Abu Dhabi and London. Active collaborations exist through the CADRC with other regional programs including Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Cleveland, VA North East Ohio Medical Center and Metro Health System.
