Exciting Locum Physician Opportunity in Radiation Oncology – Findlay, OH
Join Blanchard Valley Hospital as a Locum Radiation Oncologist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients in need of radiation therapy. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized radiation oncology services, including urgent consults, follow-ups, and on-treat patient management.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 5-10 patients per day.
- Utilize advanced technology such as 2 TrueBeam linear accelerators and Siemens Go-Sim CT Simulator.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team supported by 3 RN’s and a secretary.
- Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no weekend or call duties required.
Required Skills:
- State licensure in Ohio.
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology or equivalent.
- Proven experience with radiation therapy procedures.
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Ability to perform all required procedures confidently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior locum or temporary assignment experience.
- Familiarity with advanced radiation equipment and simulation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of Radiation Oncology residency.
- At least 2 years of clinical practice experience, preferably in a similar setting.
Other Requirements:
- Valid malpractice insurance with coverage limits of at least $1 million per occurrence and $3 million annually; insurer rated B+ or better.
- Willingness to cover travel expenses, including airfare, rental car, or mileage (cap of $1,000 per assignment).
- Group will provide lodging at a maximum rate of $130/night if needed.
- Availability to start on or around April 18, 2026, with coverage period options including June, July, August, or October 2026.
- Ability to sign a locum-to-perm potential agreement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Past licensure actions or terminations must be disclosed.
- Reasons for pursuing locum work, including employment gaps or recent assignments, should be clarified.
- References from at least two professional contacts, including recent locum assignments if applicable.
