Join Our Team as a Locum Hematology Oncology Physician in Lima, OH

Are you a dedicated Hematology Oncology physician seeking a rewarding locum opportunity? We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate provider to fill a vital role in Lima, Ohio. This position offers the chance to deliver expert outpatient cancer care within a supportive environment, making a meaningful difference in patients' lives during a crucial period.

Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations for adult and geriatric populations, ordering and interpreting labs and imaging, prescribing personalized treatment plans, and actively participating in tumor board discussions. The role involves outpatient management with no night or weekend on-call duties, ensuring a balanced work schedule. You will work primarily within an outpatient Cancer Center, administering chemotherapy in collaboration with a nursing oncologist, and managing approximately 13 outpatient patients daily, along with two hospital patients during rounding or calls.

Candidates must possess strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of hematology and oncology practices. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and adaptability within a fast-paced setting.

While a medical degree and board certification in Hematology or Oncology are preferred, we highly value recent experience in a similar outpatient setting. Candidates should be licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio and available to start on September 1, 2026. No travel or weekend on-call responsibilities are required; the position is solely outpatient and during standard weekday hours.
