Nurse Practitioner - Obstetrics & Gynecology

Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a growing OB/GYN practice in Toledo, Ohio. This is a full-time, outpatient opportunity focused on providing comprehensive women’s health services across the lifespan in a collaborative, team-based environment.

This position offers the opportunity to step into an established and growing patient base, with strong referral volume anticipated due to recent changes in the local market.

Practice Details

• Setting: Outpatient, single-specialty OB/GYN practice
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Patient Volume: 20–25 patients per day
• Telehealth: Available as appropriate for patient care

Role & Responsibilities

The APC will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with an onsite physician. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct well-woman exams and routine gynecologic care
• Provide prenatal and postnatal care
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gynecologic conditions
• Perform in-office procedures (e.g., IUD insertion/removal; additional training available)
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing and labs
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans and preventive health
• Manage patient communications, including MyChart messages
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
• Close patient encounters within 24 hours

• Collaborative environment with onsite physician support
• Mentorship available from experienced OB/GYN physician leadership
• Support staff includes:
• Clinical and administrative team
• Ultrasound technician
• 2:1 CMA/LPN support ratio
• Opportunities for:
• Student precepting
• Quality improvement initiatives
• Committee involvement

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Women’s Health experience preferred; new graduates with strong interest considered
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio
• BLS certification required
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care
