Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, is seeking a Pediatric Hematology Oncology physician to join our expanding Pediatric Transplant, Cellular, and Gene Therapy (BMT) program. This growth will allow us to care for an increasing number of patients across the region.

This position offers the opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative and academically rich environment, supported by the extensive resources of Cleveland Clinic Children’s Institute and the Taussig Cancer Institute, while delivering exceptional care to pediatric and young adult patients.

The selected candidate will join a vibrant and expanding division that includes 21 Pediatric Hematologists/Oncologists, two PhDs, 10 nurse practitioners, and dedicated disease?based care coordinators, collectively providing more than 10,000 patient visits annually. Programs encompass the full spectrum of pediatric hematology and oncology services, including FACT?accredited Blood and Marrow Transplantation.

The division actively participates in multiple collaborative groups, including but not limited to COG, ENGRAFT, NEXT Consortium, NAPAAC, NICER Consortium, Sunrise Consortium, Beat Childhood Cancer Consortium, and the Sickle Cell Disease Alliance. The department also maintains a well?established ACGME?accredited Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.

The BMT program works closely with the Children’s Institute, Taussig Cancer Institute, and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. The successful candidate will join a dedicated BMT team consisting of four pediatric hematology/oncology physicians, six advanced practice providers supporting inpatient and outpatient care, and two BMT care coordinators. Program faculty hold leadership roles within national foundations and consortia focused on transplantation and cellular therapies.

The ideal candidate will contribute to continued program growth by caring for pediatric BMT, cellular, and gene therapy patients, providing second opinions (both virtually and in person), and expanding access to care for patients nationally and internationally. The candidate is also expected to support the development of new treatment approaches through clinical trials and to advance outcomes through clinical, prospective, and retrospective research efforts. A strong commitment to education and mentorship of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees is expected.

Candidates must be board?certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (or combined Internal Medicine Hematology / Pediatric Hematology?Oncology) and eligible for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience and academic achievement. Appointment will be through the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Substantial research resources are available through the Lerner Research Institute, and quality and continuous improvement efforts are supported by Cleveland Clinic Children’s dedicated experts.
