We are seeking a skilled and committed Pediatric Hospitalist to join our dynamic healthcare team in beautiful Eureka, California. Play a vital role in delivering high-quality inpatient pediatrics care, including neonatal procedures, in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Required Skills:

  • Valid California medical license and DEA certification
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics (BC or BE within 3-5 years of residency)
  • Proficiency in neonatal airway management, including intubation
  • Experience with neonatal procedures such as UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and chest tube insertion
  • Ability to interpret EKGs and manage ventilator settings
  • NRP certification
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Clean professional record, free of malpractice or unresolved NPDB issues

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with neonatal air leak management and needle decompression
  • Familiarity with pediatric emergency procedures
  • Advanced neonatal ventilator management skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of current hospital-based clinical activity in pediatrics or neonatal care
  • Recent experience in inpatient pediatric settings

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work 24-hour on-call shifts (6 am – 6 am)
  • Availability for the specified dates: June 25-29, July 2-7, July 23-27, and July 30 – August 1
  • Must upload current CV with hospital affiliations and case logs
  • Willingness to adhere to privileging requirements and documentation processes
  • Flexibility to cover shifts as needed and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations
