Saratoga Hospital seeks an innovative and collaborative Geriatrician to join and help lead the continued growth of its expanding Geriatric Medicine program and Center for Successful Aging initiative. This role offers the opportunity to combine meaningful outpatient consultative geriatrics with leadership responsibilities in program development, interdisciplinary care design, and potential creation of an accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program.
Medical Director Opportunity: $20,000 leadership stipend
The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing comprehensive care for older adults while helping shape the future of geriatric services, education, and regional aging strategy across Saratoga Hospital Medical Group.
Leadership & Program Development Responsibilities:
- Serve as a clinical and strategic leader for the hospitals Center for Successful Aging initiative
- Collaborate with hospital and medical group leadership to expand geriatric services across outpatient, inpatient, post-acute, home-based, and assisted living settings
- Assist in development of age-friendly health system initiatives and population health strategies for older adults
- Lead or participate in design and implementation of a future Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program
- Develop educational curriculum, mentorship pathways, and academic partnerships to support geriatric training
- Help recruit and mentor physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members interested in geriatric medicine
- Partner with quality, care management, and community organizations to improve outcomes for medically complex seniors
- Participate in strategic planning around dementia care, transitional care, frailty programs, polypharmacy reduction

Academic & Fellowship Development Opportunity
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and potentially lead development of an accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program in collaboration with hospital leadership, faculty physicians, and regional educational partners.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO with board certification in Geriatric Medicine (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained).
- Strong clinical skills in geriatric medicine, including diagnosis, management, and care planning for older adults.
- Commitment to value-based, patient-centered care models with a consultative focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Interest in program development and innovation in Geriatric Medicine.
