Post-Acute Regional Medical Director - Northeastern Region of Pennsylvania (Part-time/PRN)
Adfinitas is looking for a talented BE/BC Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medical Director physician to join our established post-acute team in the Hazleton, Catawissa, and Pottsville areas of Pennsylvania. Our Post-Acute team provides medical services for various Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Long Term Care and Assisted Living facilities.
The Regional Medical Director is responsible for leading and managing the Adfinitas Health program and providers at our partner facilities, implementing and executing Operational and Quality Initiatives, fostering and maintaining positive relationships with staff members as well as facility clinical and administrative staff, and the financial performance of the program.
- Implement clinical quality programs
- Implement and manage process improvement initiatives as directed.
- Attend designated meetings with partner facilities
- Ensure that each provider understands the expectations regarding timeliness of visits
- Ensure that every provider timely (same day as seen) and accurately prepares notes for each patient they are responsible for. This applies to admission, follow-up notes and discharge notes.
- Ensure that APP staff is adequately supervised and receives sufficient clinical support.
- Communicate regularly with your supervisors regarding the clinical performance of your sites
- Ensure that all shifts are filled consistent with the applicable staffing model and provider contact requirements.
- Manage utilization and scheduling of team’s PTO.
- Ensure that Company policies and practices are understood and followed.
- Establish a positive working relationship with each member of your team and develop an environment in which your staff members feel comfortable providing honest feedback.
- Promote and maintain a working environment that is healthy and constructive and engage in activities and initiatives that contribute positively to employee morale.

- Schedule and hold regular staff meetings with your team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience in a post-acute attending role, preferred
- State Board of Physicians licensure in good standing
- Federal DEA/State CDS certification in good standing
- Existing facility medical staff member in good standing or successful application and credentialing at facility
- Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility
- Applicable screening and background checks
