Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our South Dixie Occupational Health clinic in Lima, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, primary care environment while enjoying predictable scheduling and strong organizational support.

As part of our Occupational Health team, you will manage a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries while working alongside a supportive staff that include an LPN. Our S. Dixie clinic is open M-F from 7:30a to 4p, providing consistent scheduling and the opportunity to build strong connections with both patients and colleagues.

Scope of Services:

  • Walk-in access to high-quality, non-emergency care
  • Occupational medicine services, including workers’ compensation, return-to-work evaluations, and pre-employment physicals (low volume)
  • Coordination with primary care and specialty providers as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care for walk-in patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of primary care needs
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care as appropriate
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service
  • Provide patient education and ensure clear communication around care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • See patients from 2 years and up.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Ohio.
  • Active DEA license 
  • A minimum of two years of active FNP/PA experience
  • Urgent care, occ health, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a clinical setting

Work Hours

  • Open M-F 7:30a-4p 
  • No weekends, No Call, No Evenings, No Holidays
