Lutheran Medical Group in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Endocrinologist to join an established, hospital-employed practice. This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a busy practice with an immediate patient base as part of a planned physician succession. You'll provide comprehensive endocrine care with the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team while enjoying a flexible schedule, minimal call responsibilities, and the opportunity to shape your clinical interests.

Position Highlights

  • Treat a broad range of endocrine disorders including:
    • Diabetes & Metabolism
    • Thyroid Disorders
    • Pituitary Disorders
    • Adrenal Disorders
    • Osteoporosis & Bone Health
    • Reproductive Endocrinology
  • Average patient volume of 18–25 patients per day
  • Manage insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)
  • Thyroid Fine Needle Aspiration experience preferred but not required
  • Open-access clinic scheduling with new patient appointments typically available within one week
  • Dedicated endocrinology clinic utilizing Cerner EMR
  • Collaborative care model with:
    • Five Advanced Practice Providers supporting the service line
    • Three Nurse Practitioners assisting with call coverage
    • Certified Diabetes Educator
    • Registered Dietitian support
    • Dedicated nursing and medical assistant support
    • Hospitalist support for admissions
    • Bariatric surgery and thyroid surgery collaboration
  • Strong referral base from 54 primary care providers serving Northeast Indiana, Northwest Ohio, and Southern Michigan

Call Coverage

  • Primarily phone call only
  • Serve as backup support for Advanced Practice Providers
  • Less than one after-hours call per week on average
  • Minimal weekend responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

Comprehensive recruitment package includes:

  • Competitive base salary with productivity (wRVU) incentive
  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000
