Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing multidisciplinary Neurosciences and Pain Management program in Southeast Ohio.

This is a unique opportunity for a physician who enjoys a practice centered on electromyography (EMG) while maintaining the flexibility to incorporate interventional pain management procedures based on their experience, interests, and professional goals. The position is heavily weighted toward EMG services, with opportunities to build and expand an interventional pain practice within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Working alongside our Physiatry, Neurosciences, Behavioral Health, and Rehabilitation teams, you'll provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while helping shape the future growth of our pain management program.

Position Highlights

  • Strong emphasis on EMG testing and interpretation, making electrodiagnostic expertise a key component of the practice
  • Opportunity to develop and perform a variety of interventional pain procedures based on your interests and skill set, including:
    • Epidural steroid injections (ESIs)
    • Radiofrequency ablation
    • Spinal cord stimulation
    • Ultrasound-guided joint injections
  • Evaluate and treat patients in a collaborative outpatient ambulatory setting
  • Participate in the continued expansion of our pain management services, including opportunities to develop an acute post-surgical pain program
  • Rotate one day per month at our Coshocton Specialty Office
  • Utilize Epic EMR and PACS for efficient clinical workflow

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management
  • Demonstrated expertise in EMG testing and interpretation is essential
  • Experience performing interventional pain procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, epidural steroid injections, and ultrasound-guided joint injections is preferred
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Ohio medical license and an unencumbered DEA license
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
