Plastic Surgery Pediatric Craniofacial Opening in Santa Clara, California

Leading the future of health care

Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group

PEDIATRIC CRANIOFACIAL/PLASTIC SURGEON

Santa Clara, California

We are seeking a pediatric craniofacial fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon to replace a retiring surgeon. Located in the heart of vibrant, diverse Silicon Valley, we have 7 plastic surgeons, 3 maxillofacial surgeons, a facial pain specialist, and 4 PA-C in our practice. Our department offers comprehensive reconstructive plastic surgery including adult and pediatric craniofacial and maxillofacial, breast, adult and pediatric hand, microsurgical, gender affirming, lymphatic surgery, and occasional burn reconstruction. We are a comprehensive cancer center and referral center for complex pathologies from all over northern California. We are a primary teaching site for the Stanford Plastic Surgery residency, hosting a PGY3 and PGY5, and faculty affiliation in the Stanford clinical educator line is available.

The candidate will ultimately assume leadership of our multidisciplinary craniofacial program, which is supported by all relevant medical and surgical specialties. Additional areas of clinical practice will depend on the interests of the candidate and department need but could include any element listed above including aesthetics. This is a group practice, so collegiality and participation in group work are essential for success.

The candidate should be BC or BE and will need a CA medical license. Call coverage at Santa Clara (Level 3 community trauma including hand and face) is evenly split among 7 plastic surgeons. Occasional travel to Oakland and Roseville for additional craniofacial cases is available. Career growth can include teaching, leadership, and research. The position will be valued by someone who thrives in a busy, complex, collaborative environment where a mature craniofacial practice is established, rather than requiring years of building a referral base. We offer a physician-run, physician-led, sustainable surgical practice within a system widely lauded for its quality and service, with industry-leading benefits.

Full-time annual salary range is $485,039 to $500,040 plus additional potential incentives up to $50,500*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
