Cleveland Clinics Department of Radiology is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our expanding team in a remote role. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing cardiovascular and cardiothoracic imaging practice within a nationally recognized academic medical center.

We offer remote opportunities for candidates interested in a traditional Monday through Friday daytime schedule, as well as for those seeking a 7-on/7-off rotation. No overnight coverage required as there is a separate Overnight team to cover after-hours work. Cases will be a mixture of outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department examinations with the work responsibilities well-defined.

Successful applicants will need Ohio licensure. Relocation to Cleveland is not needed as this position can be entirely remote however there are certain state residency exceptions including California and Colorado.

Remote positions at Cleveland Clinic are well-established with excellent support and technology. All necessary equipment including work phone and workstation are supplied at no cost. 24/7 IT support as well as imaging support navigators to aid with provider and site communications are available. All sites use the same PACS (AGFA EI), dictation software (PowerScribe 360), and electronic medical record (EPIC).

POSITION OVERVIEW 

  • Case Mix: Approximately 50% Cardiac and 50% aorta/vascular cases, with the potential to contribute part time in Thoracic radiology, or general radiology for moonlighting. 
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 
  • Call Coverage: modest volume-averaging 6 weeks per year, with strong support from a separate night radiology team.    
  • Moonlighting: Access to Cleveland Clinic internal moonlighting program, offering flexibility to work additional shifts remotely with no required commitment.  Potential opportunities in cardiovascular, thoracic, and general radiology. 

In Cleveland, the Cleveland Clinic healthcare system includes 14 regional hospitals and is anchored by the Main Campus hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals in Ohio and an international referral center. 

Additional Role Highlights: 

  • The incoming Radiologist will collaborate with a seasoned group of subspecialists 
  • The section is co-run and staffed by Radiology and Cardiology with a 20-year history of collaboration. 
  • The role includes expert interpretation of diagnostic imaging and clinical consultations, interactions with section technologists and nursing, as well as training of house staff. 
  • Opportunities for interdisciplinary meeting participation, innovation and research including collaboration with both industry and research scientists, and potential for leadership roles.  

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Fellows may also apply 
  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited radiology residency
  • Fellowship training in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Radiology 
  • Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology 
  • Medical license or eligibility to obtain a license in the state of Ohio

Cleveland Clinic Radiology is a large academic practice with over 200 board-certified, subspecialty radiologists, handling over 2.7 million exams per year. We have an enduring focus on both quality and innovation/IT, with radiologist leadership in both areas.  We endeavor to practice radiology at the leading edge and encourage collaboration between radiologists and imaging scientists as well as clinicians. 

Our practice is locally led, with recurrent meetings and open communication down to section and radiologist level. We are the teaching physicians for the Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine in Cleveland, and we serve as a major training hospital for several affiliated medical schools. 

COMPENSATION: 

The salary range for this position is $540-700k.  This may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, hours of moonlighting, etc. In addition to this range, Cleveland Clinic offers competitive total rewards packages.
