The West Los Angeles VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Primary or Family Care Physician to join the newly established National Center for Warrior Independence (NCWI). This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient care to Veterans while helping support the development of an innovative national VA program focused on serving the Veteran population.

What You'll Do: 

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary and acute care
  • Manage chronic diseases and provide preventive healthcare
  • Perform history-taking, examinations, diagnosis, treatment, consultations, and emergency management
  • Provide same-day care and coverage for other PACT providers
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
  • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement
  • Support VA performance measures, systems redesign, and advanced access initiatives
  • Work with supervisory and frontline staff to improve clinic operations and Veteran care

Make an Impact Beyond the Exam Room: The Provider in this role will contribute to VA national, VISN, and local quality and process improvement initiatives, including performance measures, systems redesign, and advanced clinical access projects. The physician will work with supervisory and frontline staff across service lines to improve clinic operations, access, continuity of care, and the overall Veteran healthcare experience.

Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent
  • Board Certified/Eligible
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license
  • Board Certified or Eligible

 Benefits and Features:

  • Salary Range: $265,000 - $310,000
  • PTO: 50-55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays)
