Broward Health is seeking an experienced compassionate physician to serve as Medical Director for post-acute and senior care services in Pompano Beach, supporting residents across skilled nursing (SNF) and assisted living (ALF) settings. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician with an interest in geriatric and post-acute medicine to provide clinical leadership and direct patient care within an established senior living community while partnering with Broward Health's multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • * The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and physician services supporting residents in SNF and ALF settings
  • * Perform appropriate evaluations, follow-up visits and ongoing medical management
  • * Collaborate with nursing, APRNs, rehabilitation professionals and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • * Support coordination and transitions between hospital, post-acute and community-based settings
  • * Provide medical leadership and clinical guidance to support quality and safety and continuity of care
  • * Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives
  • * Promote evidence-based practices and appropriate utilization of healthcare resources
  • * Partner with Broward Health leadership and to support excellent resident outcomes and patient experience

Physician Qualifications

  • * MD or DO degree
  • * Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
  • * Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
  • * Experience caring for geriatric, skilled nursing, assisted living or post-acute populations
  • * Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • * Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and quality improvement
  • * Certified Medical Director (CMD) designation preferred; candidates willing to obtain certification will be considered
