Physician - Geriatric Medicine

Guthrie is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatrician dedicated to delivering comprehensive primary care services to off-site, post-acute care settings in Sayre and Athens, PA as well as Waverly, Owego, Big Flats and Corning, NY. This position offers the opportunity for a Medical Directorship.

The ideal candidate for this position is one who seeks to impact the care and comfort of an aging population while building meaningful relationships with residents and their families, and health care providers responsible for their care. 

Work Life Balance 

• Flexible schedules are available in some locations.

• Call is 1:5. 

Dedication to Quality Patient Care 

• Provide preventative and primary care for patients in assigned long-term care facilities.
• Practice full-spectrum Internal Medicine / Family Medicine / Gerontological care under the Medical Directorship of a Guthrie employed Physician.
• Opportunity for a mixed model practice to include Outpatient, Inpatient or Long-Term Care based on the candidate preference.
• Work with a network of primary care physicians to provide the best care possible for residents.
• Strong support from?a growing team-based program with multiple physicians and APPs in each facility.
• Collaborative work with nursing staff and patients' families.
• Work in partnership with the facility's various quality improvement teams. 

Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits 

• Annual salary range of $275,000 - $310,000. 
• Medical school loan repayment of $150,000. 
• Medical Directorship certificate cost reimbursed.
• Full benefits include medical, dental and?disability?insurance. 
• Malpractice?insurance with tail.
• Guthrie Retirement Savings Plan 403B and 457B options; HSA options available. 
• Allowance for licensure fees, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate,?and renewals.
