Mercy Health Saint Mary's has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Fellowship trained Neuromuscular physician to join the Hauenstein Neurosciences department located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The responsibilities for this opportunity include:
Performing, interpreting and reporting EMG and Nerve Conduction studies in the electrophysiology laboratory
Performing clinical evaluations in the neuromuscular outpatient general and specialty clinic programs
Maintaining quality standards in the EMG Laboratory
Participating in research as the opportunity arises and after studies are vetted by the departmental/institutional research group
Collaborating with EMG Laboratory Administrative Lead and Staff to develop efficient function of EMG Laboratory services
The Hauenstein Neurosciences Center, led by Philip B. Gorelick, MD, MPH, is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a Level 4 epilepsy center. Our center is one of only four comprehensive centers in Michigan; and the only comprehensive epilepsy program in West Michigan.
MHSM has the only Parkinsons program in West Michigan and is the only hospital in the Midwest to administer the DaTscan, a new scanning procedure that helps confirm a diagnosis of Parkinsons disease.
