Conway, AR

Specialty Family Medicine
Profession Physician

Baptist Health Medical-Conway (BHMC-C), in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join an existing three provider practice. The current providers include two physicians, one physician assistant, and one advanced practice nurse. This is an opportunity to build on a new practice that began in 2016 and is located in a 75,000 square foot Medical Office Building that was completed in June of 2017. The Medical Office Building is adjacent to BHMC-Conway, a 111-bed state of the art hospital that opened in September of 2016.

The ideal candidate will be a caring physician who enjoys working in a growing outpatient practice setting and is interested in remaining in Conway long term. The current clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8 to 5. The physician will have the availability to practice in a typical outpatient setting including general dermatologic procedures, injections, and other procedures as desired. Both lab and x-ray are provided along with a United Allergy presence in the clinic. Call is coordinated through the System’s after hours triage. The clinic utilizes EPIC as their EMR as does the hospital. The clinic will begin participating in the CMS Primary Care First program in 2021, becoming the first clinic in the Baptist Health System to do so.

This is an employed position with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), a subsidiary of Baptist Health. The compensation model is a base salary plus an opportunity for quarterly bonuses. Healthcare, malpractice, retirement, CME, are just some of the other benefit components. There is a clinic manager on site as well as a Regional Practice Administrator (RPA) who serves as a liaison between the clinic and AHG.

Conway, known as the “City of  Colleges”, is home to three colleges. With a population nearing almost 70,000, Conway is one of the fastest growing cities in the state but retains its small town charm and community spirit. Conway boasts great dining establishments as well as eleven parks, two lakes, art galleries, and a community theater. The sports parks include a skate park, a soccer complex, and baseball and softball fields. On the retail side the city offers trendy boutiques, antique stores, and large national retailers.
